Richard Escovedo from Texas asks:
Team 1 has 2 outs. A player at first the batter has a 1-1 count with a runner at first. The runner gets picked off runing to second for the 3rd out. When team 1 comes back up to bat, they put same player back up that had the 1-1 count, but he starts with a new count. Was that right?
Yes, this was correct. Because the batter was at bat when the third out was made on the basepaths, he leads off the next inning with a new, fresh, count.
